It is difficult to assess the amount of charitable money given by the Lodge over the last 100 years, but given that in 1921 £10.00 would be worth £55.00 in today's money, the figure must be truely substantial.
Local community projects and persons have always been our priority. However Paddock Wood has never been stinting towards Provincial and Grand Lodge demands for Charitable donations. For example:-
During the 6 years between 1998 and 2006 the Lodge donated over £32,000 to Local and Provincial charities, (which does not include modern-day match-funding and the £2,500 sent to the United Grand Lodge for them to distribute Nationally and World-wide on our behalf).
Alongside our other charitable initiatives, Paddock Wood Lodge designed and had manufactured a set of East Kent Provincial cuff-links. The proceeds from sales of these to Lodge members, and to others within the East Kent Province both directly and at the annual Provincial meetings, were donated to the East Kent 2010 Charity Festival.
